Websites for tradespeople and local businesses

You've got the reviews and the regulars. I build the one-page website that turns people finding you on Google into phone calls and bookings.

£295one-off price
60 Google reviews averaging five stars, on one roofer I found in Wigan. No website for any of those customers to click through to.

When I looked through Google Maps for tradespeople in Wigan, Swindon and Stoke, it kept happening. Brilliant reviews, busy diaries, and nowhere to send people.

Someone comparing three quotes will usually ring the one that looks established. A proper website is how you look established, and it keeps working while you're up a ladder or under a car.

My work

Two real local businesses, plus a sample site in a different style so you can see the range.

The Oldfield Motor Services website on a phone
Real client, live

Oldfield Motor Services, Denholme

A family-run garage with 60 Google reviews at 4.9 stars, and a lapsed website. I rebuilt their web presence from their own material:

  • Their logo, colours and signage turned into the design
  • Real workshop photos from their Facebook page
  • Real customer reviews, quoted word for word
  • Type your number plate to start a booking, sent straight to their WhatsApp
  • Their own domain, set up and pointing at the new site

Emberline is made up, to show a different style without using anyone's real details.

What you get

Here's Oldfield Motor Services on a phone, with the parts that win customers pointed out. Your site gets the same thinking, built around your business.

The Oldfield Motor Services website on a phone, with six features numbered
  • 1Their own logo

Taken from the badge on their sign, so the site looks like the garage.

  • 2Real photos, not stock

Their workshop at night, from their own Facebook page.

  • 3Says what and where

Servicing, MOTs and repairs in Denholme. Anyone landing knows straight away.

  • 4Book by number plate

Type your reg, fill in a few details, and it lands in their WhatsApp.

  • 5Their Google rating

4.9 from 60 reviews, linked to the real reviews so anyone can check.

  • 6Call button always there

Call and WhatsApp stay on screen as customers scroll.

One price, paid in two halves

No contracts and no surprise extras. If you don't like the preview, you've only paid half.

£295

For a one-page website, one-off.

Half to start
£147.50 by PayPal invoice when you say go.
Half when you're happy
The rest once you've seen it and asked for any changes.
Your web address
Usually about £10 a year, registered in your name so it's always yours.

How it works

  1. Tell me about you

Send me your details, or just point me at your Facebook page or Google listing.

  2. See a preview

I build your site and send you a private link to look at on your phone.

  3. Ask for changes

Tell me what you'd change, and I'll sort it until you're happy.

  4. Go live

Your site goes live on your own web address, ready to share.

Who you'll be dealing with

I'm Greg Rycroft, based in Yorkshire. I build websites for tradespeople and small local businesses, and I build each one around the business it's for: your photos, your reviews, your colours.

There's no agency and no call centre. You deal with me from the first message to the day your site goes live, and if something needs changing, you message me directly.

Questions people ask

What do you need from me?

Your business name, what you do, the areas you cover and how customers should contact you. Send a logo and photos if you have them. If not, point me at your Facebook page or Google listing and, with your permission, I'll work from what's already there.

Do I own my web address?

Yes. It's registered in your name, usually for about £10 a year, so it's always yours.

What if I don't like the preview?

Tell me what isn't right and I'll change it. The second half of the payment is only due once you're happy with it.

Will it work on phones?

It's designed for phones first, because that's where most of your customers will find you. It works on computers and tablets too.

How do I pay?

By PayPal invoice: £147.50 to start, and £147.50 when you're happy.

Let's get you online
